Ella Zubrowska

A day at the beach

Today, I wore my special Ella Zubrowska Saint Jacques necklace and ring to the beach. I did not wear them just because of the beauty of the pieces but because of what the Coquilles( Seashell) represents and symbolises in France, Pays basques, and Spain. Ella Zubrowska has touched my heart and home with her Saint Jacques collection.

Saint Jacques de Compostelle is a catholic pilgrimage that starts in the North of France to the North of Spain. It is also called “the way of the south”. The journey ends at the burial site of Saint James at Spain’s Galicia region, Santiago de Compostela.

Thousands of people throughout the year will come from all around the world to walk and hike this majestic trail. Throughout the path you will pass famous monuments and churches such as:

  • Pont d'Ambrussum

  • Stèles discoïdales, Lodève

  • Statue menhir, Murat sur Vèbre

  • Maisons sur l'Agout, Castres

  • Basilique St. Sernin, Toulouse

  • Cathédrale St. Trohime d'Arles

Other than these grand landmarks you will also be spoiled by the beautiful creations of nature, mountains, beaches, and the clean/fresh air.

This path means so much to me as my family walks a piece of it every year. Around summer time, they will pick 3/4 days with about 25K to walk each day. Throughout this journey we don’t really always have cell service so it allows us time to really connect and speak with each other without the distractions of the world around us.

If you need some time to think or getaway from reality. This is the perfect escape. This journey really reminds me what is important in life. It’s so easy to get sucked into the superficial world and material objects, especially in New York City! So thank you Ella Zubrowska, as I am able to remember this every time I look at my Saint Jacques pieces.

As always, I am happy to help if you have any questions.

Bisous,

Léanne
