Today, I wore my special Ella Zubrowska Saint Jacques necklace and ring to the beach. I did not wear them just because of the beauty of the pieces but because of what the Coquilles( Seashell) represents and symbolises in France, Pays basques, and Spain. Ella Zubrowska has touched my heart and home with her Saint Jacques collection.
Since I have moved to New York about 2 and a half years ago, I have become a huge vintage shopper! Finding unique, timeless, quality pieces for a mere fraction of their actual cost gives me a high that drugs can never replace. Do not be fooled by New York’s expensive consignment stores; a cheap vintage store can be just around the corner. If you’re nice I may just share with you my favorite spots…ok, ok, you know I am going to give them to you!
Sundays for me mean 4 things: Cozy time, family/friends, eating a lot, and sometimes taking some fun photos! One of my great new friends Oriane invited photographer Joey Wang and I over for a glass of wine and one thing led to another, we were shooting all around her place. I saw this little nook at the window with her beautiful almost sheer curtains and thought it was the perfect spot to show off my classic Almina Concept turtle neck.
As you may have seen on my Instagram page, I have just came back from a trip in France. I went to Bordeaux to see my brother & cat, to Tours to see my grandparents, and to Paris to see friends and make new ones. One of my new encounters was with the sweet Caroll Paris team. They were so kind to meet up with me after their work hours and allowed me to pick 2 pieces from their collection.
I am so happy to introduce to you Marie Douma, one of my very best friends here in New York City. She is not only one of the kindest, most honest, and genuine hearts that I have ever met but also the founder of the custom- made shirting company, Dou.K. Her passion in supporting the human impact on the environment shows throughout her company’s values as all her shirts are made in the most ethical and eco-friendly way possible.
